T-Mobile NL launches WiFiZone in Rotterdam

Tuesday 23 July 2013 | 09:52 CET | News
T-Mobile Netherlands has launched a free WiFiZone pilot for customers in the centre of Rotterdam. The trial is part of the operator's "Achieve More Together" network programme. T-Mobile NL said it was the first mobile provider to provide Wi-Fi in this way, with a completely secure connection and access to the network. Only T-Mobile NL customers can access the network, with their Sim card acting as key (EAP-SIM authentication). The latest smartphones are suitable for the WiFiZone, including the Samsung Galaxy S4 (mini), the Sony Xperia Z, the HTC One, the BlackBerry Z10 and the Apple iPhone 5.
