T-Mobile NL rolls out 4G tri-carrier aggregation

Thursday 17 November 2016 | 10:26 CET | News
T-Mobile Netherlands said it's started the roll-out of tri-carrier aggregation across its 4G network. In addition to the 900 and 1,800 MHz bands, the operator will use half its UMTS spectrum in the 2,100 MHz band for LTE. It started testing the tri-carrier aggregation earlier this year in the Worden area and will now roll it out nationwide. T-Mobile said it's already activated the technology on 450 antennas, covering 90 cities and villages. Customers with suitable devices can access up to 300 Mbps download with the latest 4G upgrade.
