T-Mobile starts testing Wi-Fi zone in Rotterdam

T-Mobile Netherlands has started testing a Wi-Fi zone in the centre of Rotterdam. The company sent a message over Twitter calling for people to try the Wi-Fi service and get a free ice cream. T-Mobile technology director Frank Meywerk had announced the Wi-Fi zone plans at Telecompaper's Connected 2013 conference in June. The service focuses on the Koopgoot and surrounding area, where there are often large concentrations of people. The ad-free Wi-Fi service is available automatically to T-Mobile customers through Sim authentication; any data used counts toward their monthly allowance. Meywerk
