T-Mobile USA adds customers, sales, profit drop in Q1

T-Mobile USA added 3,000 branded net customers in the first quarter, the first time positive quarter for branded customer growth in four years, reported parent company T-Mobile US, which owns MetroPCS since 30 April. T-Mobile USA ended the period with 26.12 million total branded customers and approximately 34 million total customers. The company's overall revenues decreased by 7.1 percent to USD 4.68 billion in the first quarter, compared to the year-earlier period. Adjusted EBITDA decreased by 7.5 percent to USD 1.18 billion compared to the first quarter of 2012 primarily due to the decline
