T-Mobile USA chops jobs ahead of MetroPCS merger

T-Mobile USA has cut between 200 and 300 jobs at its headquarters in Bellevue, Washington, the Seattle Tiomes reports. The jobs range from administrative assistants to senior vice presidents, and come on top of 100 marketing staff let go earlier this month. T-Mobile confirmed the move in a statement referring to "a small number of employees relative to the overall size of the business", adding that the adjustments will allow the operator to focus its resources better as it aligns its business for growth under a new strategy. T-Mobile shareholders will vote on 12 April on its agreed merger
