T-Mobile USA OIBDA falls 25% in Q4

T-Mobile USA ended 2012 with 33.39 million customers, representing net additions of 61,000 customers compared to the prior quarter and 203,000 more customers than at the end of 2011. Growth came in the prepaid and wholesale segments, adding respectively 166,000 and 410,000 customers in Q4, while the contract base fell by 515,000 in the three months to 20.29 million. The mobile operator said it was seeing strong demand for its Monthly4G prepaid plans, while the postpaid market was more difficult due to the launch of the iPhone 5.
