Tablet sales post first-ever double-digit decline in 2015

Wednesday 27 January 2016 | 13:52 CET | News
The gradual contraction in annual tablet shipments reached double digits for the first time in 2015, according to a report by TrendForce. The large decline was driven by market saturation, the long life cycles of tablets themselves and the abundance of substitute devices, said the report, adding that tablets were challenged by many large and small devices during 2015, including smartphones sized 5 inches and above to 2-in-1 PCs.
