Taiwan passes law to accelerate deployment of 5G, creation of smart city

Tuesday 4 June 2019 | 10:02 CET | News
Taiwan has passed the Telecommunications Management Act, aimed at helping operators use spectrum in a more flexible and effective way, Digitimes reported, citing the National Communications Commission (NCC). Under the new law, operators will be able to either build their own infrastructure or rent them from their peers. This is expected to help accelerate the development, installation and upgrade of new telecom infrastructure for 5G and related smart city applications to enable broadband services on demand.
