Tajikistan tax office proposes VAT on foreign e-service providers

Nusratullo Davlatzoda, the head of the Tajikistan Committee of Taxes, has proposed to the government to introduce VAT on foreign providers of electronic services to retail users residing in Tajikistan, reports Profit.kz. Davlatzoda announced that Google, Apple, Microsoft, Facebook, eBay, Aliexpress, Yahoo and Bing paid RUB 1 billion in the VAT in Russia in the first quarter of this year after the introduction of VAT on services for retail users.
