TalkTalk chairman warns of mergers' risk to competitiveness

TalkTalk and Dixons Carphone retailer Charles Dunstone has warned that the wave of telecom mergers could damage UK mobile and broadband markets' competitiveness, reports the Financial Times. Speaking at a conference organised by consumer rights group Which, Dunstone said, "We need a tough, strong Ofcom for competition – and so that new entrants can come to the market like we did. There hasn't been any big new entrants recently and we want that environment back."
