Indian operator Tata Communications saw its revenues for its fiscal third quarter to 31 December 2016 decrease by 4.5 percent year-on-year to INR 48.71 billion (approximately USD 774 million) from 50.99 billion in the year-earlier period. Group EBITDA declined 3.7 percent year-on-year to INR 7.2 billion from INR 7.4 billion, with EBITDA margin slightly increased to 14.8 percent from 14.7 percent. Net profit jumped more than 1,176 percent to INR 14.1 billion, from INR 1.1 billion in the year-earlier period.
In the first nine months, revenues from operations declined 2.7 percent to INR 149 billion from INR 154 billion. EBITDA for the nine months of FY 2017 was INR 24.5 billion, resulting in an EBITDA margin of 16.4 percent.
