Tata Coms quarterly revenue drops 12%, net loss widens

Indian operator Tata Communications (Tata Coms) saw its revenues for the quarter to 31 March 2017 decrease by 12.6 percent year-on-year to INR 44.9 billion from INR 51.4 billion in the year-earlier period. Group EBITDA declined 33.3 percent year-on-year to INR 5.4 billion from INR 8.1 billion, while EBITDA margin dropped to 12 percent from 15.8 percent. Net loss widened to INR 2.61 billion, from a loss of INR 2.57 billion in the year-earlier period.
