Tcell launches 5G network

Tajikistan operator Tcell has announced the launched of its 5G network in the city of Dushanbe. The operator did not specify the network coverage.

Tcell was awarded a licence for the deployment and commercial launch of a 5G network in June. 

Megafon Tajikistan deployed a 5G network at the Somoni square area in downtown Dushanbe earlier this February. Zet-Mobile announced that it plans to launch the first segment of its 5G network this year.

Tcell upgrades network in Sogd, starts promo

Tajikistan operator Tcell has started a massive upgrade project for its network in the Sogd region. About 48 3G and LTE base stations have been upgraded, including 14 to LTE in the city of Khudzhand. Five new base stations have been built in the region.

Mobile operator Megafon Tajikistan has deployed a 5G network at the Somoni square area in downtown Dushanbe. Subscribers of the operator with 5G devices can try out the new network free.

Zet-Mobile expands LTE network

Tajikistan mobile operator Zet-Mobile, which earlier worked under the Beeline Tajikistan brand, significantly expanded the coverage of its LTE network last month, deploying a number of new base stations operating on the 800 MHz and 2,100 MHz bands.
