TCRA fines 7 telecom firms over poor service

Seven mobile phone service providers have been fined TZS 695 million over failure to meet service quality standards set by the Tanzania Communication Regulatory Authority (TCRA), reports Daily News. The TCRA conducted a quality of service (QoS) measurement between January and March in Dar es Salaam, Mbeya and Iringa. It looked at network availability, call connection failure rate, call drop rate and call set-up time and service coverage.
