TDC offers smartphones on instalments
Danish operator TDC introduced 'TDC Rate,' a new service which enables customers to purchase a smartphone on 6, 12 or 24 monthly instalments without interest. The new offer comes in response to a growth in the number of Danes who purchased smartphones as well as customer requests for the introduction of a system allowing the payment of smartphones over a longer interval. Eight out of ten phones sold by TDC are multi-functional smartphones compared to five out of ten one year ago.

TDC launches collection of phone covers

Danish operator TDC and Octopus Copenhagen developed nine models of leather covers for mobile phones and smartphones which are available in various colours. The covers, marketed under the PoCoLoCo brand, are available from DKK 199 per unit in TDC shops. TDC to offer training in smartphone use inside stores

TDC will roll out a new customer service this autumn to offer training inside its shops in the use of smartphones to those interested in buying such devices. Smartphones more popular among men in Denmark - survey

Smartphones are more popular among men than among women in Denmark, according to a survey conducted by Userneeds on behalf of Telenor Denmark. At present, over 34 percent of all men in Denmark have a smartphone, compared to only about 20 percent of women. Reading news is the most common activity on smartphones for the majority of men, while women have a greater focus on social media. TDC selects JDSU to support LTE network deployment

Danish operator TDC has selected broadband and optical technology provider JDSU to support its LTE network deployment. TDC selected JDSU's accessLTE because it provides real-time monitoring and troubleshooting of its LTE network, enabling quality of service while managing volumes of high-bandwidth traffic. TDC launches TDC Play app for iPhone

TDC Denmark has made available at no extra cost a TDC Play music app for iOS after initially releasing a version for Android in January. Since it was launched three months ago, TDC Play app for Android has already been downloaded more than 50,000 times. TDC Play app for iPhone is available in the App store for TDC customers, but it can also be obtained by sending an SMS to 1919 with text 'playapp.'
