TDF advances plan for launch of 4K channels on French DTT platform

French broadcast services operator TDF said that it has been authorised by the country's media regulator CSA to launch a new 4K pilot channel over DTT, which will be available in the Ile de France region and the cities of Nantes and Toulouse. This will be TDF's third 4K pilot, after the first two already in service since 2014.
