TDF wins contract for Val d'Oise public-initiative network

French infrastructure operator TDF has won a contract to deploy, operate and manage a public-initiative network (known as RIP, Reseaux d'Initiative Publique) in the French department Val d'Oise. This represents the first contract win for TDF in the RIP market, which the company sees as an important opportunity alongside its existing media and telecoms operations, with approximately 40 RIP tenders expected over the next three years. As part of the Val d'Oise Numerique project, TDF has committed to invest nearly EUR 100 million to deploy a fibre access network covering 85,000 premises across
