TE SubCom to start work on DARE submarine cable system in East Africa

Djibouti Telecom and its partners have announced that the supply contract for the Djibouti Africa Regional Express (DARE) submarine cable system has come into force, with TE SubCom as supplier. The 5,400-km DARE cable will connect Djibouti and Mombasa, Kenya, with branches to three major coastal cities in Somalia, respectively Mogadishu, Berbera, and Bosaso, providing an alternative high-capacity and low-latency route to the Horn of Africa and East Africa.
