TE SubCom wins order for Caribbean subsea network

Saint Lucia-based subsea operator Deep Blue Cable said it awarded TE SubCom a contract to build a 12,000 km pan-Caribbean cable system with initial landing points in 12 markets throughout the region. It said the Deep Blue network will have an initial capacity of 6 Tbps per fibre pair and is scheduled for completion in the final quarter or 2019.
