Tech sector takes lead in EU lobby spending ahead of new digital legislation

Wednesday 1 September 2021 | 09:54 CET | News
Tech companies spent EUR 97 mln on lobbying EU authorities in the past year, according to research by the Corporate Europe Observatory and LobbyControl based on regulatory filings. Tech lobbying increased as the EU considers major new competition and consumer rights legislation, in the Digital Services Act and the Digital Markets Act first presented in December 2020.
