Technicolor to slash costs at gateway business after H1 slump

Technicolor announced a sharp decline in first-half results and a new restructuring programme to reduce costs by 40 percent at its home gateway business. Revenues from continuing operations fell 9.3 percent year-on-year to EUR 1.769 billion, and adjusted EBITDA was down 20 percent to EUR 57 million. Free cash flow was a negative EUR 150 million, widening from an outflow of EUR 109 million in the year-earlier period.
