Technicolor works with Google on common broadcast stack for hybrid Android TV devices

Technicolor's Connected Home division is collaborating with Google to accelerate the development and deployment of a broadcast stack software platform for hybrid Android TV devices. Called Google Broadcast Stack, the platform will help network service providers improve time to market for a wide range of set-top boxes and other consumer electronics devices, for example avoiding the costly and lengthy process of integrating conditional access systems (CAS) capabilities into the equipment.
