Tele Columbus starts to upgrade network to gigabit speeds

German cable operator Tele Columbus has started to upgrade its network to gigabit speeds, beginning in Flensburg, Offenbach and Frankfurt am Main as well as in Aschersleben and in Naumburg in Saxony-Anhalt. Another 69,000 households can now sign up for internet connections with bandwidths of up to 1 Gbps. With the upgrade, the vast majority of the around 2.4 million households supplied with a Pyur brand internet connection will be able to surf at gigabit speeds.
