Tele2 disconnects customers by mistake after billing problem

Tele2 Netherlands has disconnected around 2,000 customers in recent months by mistake, due to technical problems at the operator, according to a report from RTL Z. Due to the internal problems, the operator was forced to process bills by hand, leading to long delays in registering payments. As a result some customers were wrongly labeled as bad debtors and disconnected. Tele2 confirmed the problems to RTL, but said that some of the affected customers truly were bad debtors.
