Tele2 Latvia builds 5G-ready base stations

Mobile operator Tele2 Latvia has deployed its first 5G-ready base stations. The Nokia AirScale Radio Access equipment has been installed on base stations in the settlements of Ziepniekkalns and Talsi. The equipment will be ready to provide broadband at up to 1 Gbps in the near future, and up to 28 Gbps is expected to be available after the launch of 5G services.
