Tele2 loses COO Sonkin
Tele2 announced that Niklas Sonkin, COO, is leaving the company. He joined Tele2 in 2009 and since then has been responsible for developing the company’s operations outside of Sweden and the Netherlands. In October 2015, he took the position of COO at Tele2. CEO Allison Kirkby said he had led the growth of the Baltic markets, the restructuring of the German operations and the establishment of the JV in Kazakhstan. 

Sonkin will leave the company 02 September, but will remain as chairman of the board of Tele2’s JV operation in Kazakhstan, Khan Tengri Holding and board member of Mobile Telecoms-Service. Fredrik Stenberg, currently Director of Customer Operations and member of the Shared Operations Leadership Team, will become acting COO until a replacement is found.

Tele2 Sweden sells iPhone 7 from SEK 312 per month

Tele2 Sweden said it will be selling the Apple iPhone 7 from SEK 312 per month to individual customers and the iPhone 7 Plus from SEK 366. People with student identification can get the standard version from SEK 295 and the Plus version from SEK 349. For business customers, the standard iPhone 7 will start at SEK 568 and the Plus version will begin at SEK 613.

Tele2 heeft aangekondigd dat COO Niklas Sonkin het bedrijf zal verlaten. Hij trad in 2009 in dienst bij Tele2 waar hij verantwoordelijk werd voor het uitbouwen van de activiteiten van Tele2 buiten Zweden en Nederland. In oktober 2015 werd Sonkin aangesteld als COO. Tele2 names Van Gaver to lead operations outside Sweden, NL

Tele2 AB said that it has appointed Guillaume van Gaver as Executive Vice President International, which marks the re-introduction of an area director role for markets other than Sweden and the Netherlands. It added that Lars Torstensson, executive vice president for new growth and strategy, is leaving the company to pursue new opportunities.

Tele2 appoints head of Baltic states

The management board of the Tele2 group has appointed Petras Masiulis head of the operator's activities in the Baltic states, a new position within the group. Masiulis will combine his new duties with the position of CEO at the mobile operator Tele2 Lithuania. Masiulis works as CEO of Tele2 Lithuania since 2003.

Tele2 names CFO, new CEOs in Sweden, Netherlands

Tele2 announced a number of changes to its management, including a new permanent CFO and new CEOs of Tele2 Sweden and Tele2 Netherlands. Lars Nordmark, currently CFO of Securitas Direct, will join Tele2 as Executive Vice President and CFO. The Swedish national worked previously at T-Mobile, Orange and most recently Qtel. Tele2 group overhauls management team

Tele2 has announced the reorganisation of its management from 15 October, to realise the benefits of its Challenger productivity programme. Niklas Sonkin, currently executive vice president and market director for Eurasia and acting CTIO, becomes executive vice president and chief operating officer (COO). He will oversee all CTIO and shared operations for the group, and maintains responsibility for Kazakhstan and Germany.
