Tele2 names CFO Kirkby as new CEO
Mats Granryd is stepping down as CEO of Tele2 and will be replaced by CFO Allison Kirkby from the start of September, the company announced. Granryd is leaving to become Director General of the GSMA, after five years as CEO of Tele2. He will depart the company at the end of this year, after helping with the transition to the new CEO. 

Kirkby became CFO of Tele2 in May 2014. Prior to that she worked as CFO of the TV production company Shine, now part of 21st Century Fox, and was Virgin Media's Executive Director of Finance Operations & Transformation. Before that she worked two decades at Procter & Gamble in a variety of senior financial and operational roles. 

The GSMA confirmed Granryd's appointment as director general from the start of 2016. Prior to joining Tele2 in 2010, Granryd spent 15 years at Ericsson, serving lastly as head of Northern Europe and Central Asia.
