Tele2 Norway has no plans to become MVNO

Friday 2 May 2014 | 12:20 CET | News
Tele2 Norway will not become an MVNO, despite the national roaming agreement it signed this week with Telenor, InsideTelecom.no reported. It cited Tele2 Norway CEO Arild Hustad as saying there was no question of it becoming a virtual operator. The news website added that the Tele2-Telenor pact meant the loss of hundreds of millions of kroner in turnover for TeliaSonera's Norwegian arm, Netcom. Earlier, Tele2 had said it was considering its strategic options for Norway, after it failed to acquire additional spectrum in an auction there last year.
