Tele2 Russia launches LTE network in Tula
Mobile operator Tele2 Russia has launched its LTE network in the Tula region, its first in the country. Under the technology-neutral principle, the operator used its GSM frequencies in the 1,800 MHz band to provide the 4G services. The network covers various quarters in the city of Tula. The operator plans to provide its 3G and LTE services in over 50 regions in 2015. LTE networks are planned to launch in over 20 regions. The operator offers two mobile internet options. The daily tariff includes 1 GB for RUB 15, after which the speed drops to 128 kbps. The second option includes 500 MB daily traffic for RUB 8.
