Tele2 says no provision for KPN wholesale claim

Tuesday 21 April 2015 | 12:57 CET | News
Tele2 gave an update of its ongoing regulatory appeals in the Netherlands in its Q1 report. The biggest case involves rental fees for wholesale access to KPN's copper network, known as WPC-IIa. The Dutch regulator ACM has ordered the latest decision applies with retroactive effect from 2009. As a result KPN has made a claim of EUR 8.7 million, which Tele2 is challenging. Tele2 said it considers it unlikely that it will have to pay this amount and as a result it has not taken a provision. A ruling in the case is not expected before the fourth quarter of this year.
