Telecom Argentina plans to launch pay-TV services

Telecom Argentina, now under the ownership of Mexican businessman David Martinez, is planning to launch pay-TV services, reports Cronista. Currently, Argentina's legislation prevents a telecom company from entering the cable TV business, at least for the next two years. The new investor is looking to invest heavily in the deployment of a new fixed network through which Telecom Argentina will provide a triple-play offering to its more than 19 million customers.
