State-owned Telecom Cambodia and Cambodia Fibre Optic Communication Network (CFOCN) have agreed to jointly deploy metro and regional fibre optic backbone networks, The Phnom Penh Post reports, citing the country's minister of Posts and Telecommunications Tram Iv Tek. Huawei recently signed an agreement with the Ministry to provide ICT equipment and a 5G services training programme. Huawei will also support the ministry by providing it with a data centre facility, video conference system, fibre-to-the-office equipment and Huawei laptops for central and provincial government offices.
