Telecom industry groups want injunction against Maine's consumer privacy law

The Communications Association, CTIA, the Internet & Television Association (NCTA) and USTelecom are suing Maine and the privacy bill it signed into law on 6 June, ArsTechnica reported. The four lobby groups, representing the cable, telecom and mobile industry, have filed for a request for a court injunction that would prevent enforcement of the law.
