Telecom Italia Brazil towers attract US interest - report

Telecom Italia has received letters of interest in its mobile phone towers in Brazil from potential buyers such as American Tower Corp and the Goldman Sachs-backed Cell Site Solutions Cessao de Infraestruturas SA, people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg. Telecom Italia, which is working with Morgan Stanley on the sale, is looking to divest around 6,000 of the 8,500 towers it owns in Brazil, for which it is hoping to raise around EUR 750 million, according to one of the sources. At the presentation of its quarterly results last week, Telecom Italia said it expected non-binding offers
