Telecom Italia CEO rules out Oi deal as too complex

Telecom Italia has suspended a potential deal to merge its Brazilian subsidiary TIM Brasil with rival operator Oi, according to its CEO Marco Patuano. Speaking at the presentation of a EUR 14-billion business plan to accelerate the expansion of the company's fixed and mobile broadband network, Patuano said the Oi deal was too complex to complete. "My desk is quite full right now so unfortunately there is no extra space for another file that is Oi," said Patuano, according to Reuters.
