Telecom Italia launches kit for creating online exhibitions

Telecom Italia Foundation and the Central Institute for the Union Catalogue of Italian Libraries (ICCU) have launched a kit dubbed Movio designed to allow libraries, museums and archives to create virtual exhibitions of their works. The software is an open-source SCMS (Semantic Content Management System) that enables the creation, management and maintenance of websites and personalised apps for temporary or permanent exhibitions. The digital content can be easily updated by editors lacking in IT skills, and accessed by remote users who will be able to enjoy an easy-to-use, multilingual
