Telecom Italia proposing to offer free ADSL to voice only customers

Wednesday 1 July 2020 | 10:57 CET | News
Italy's communications regulator Agcom has announced the launch of a 15-day consultation on a request from Telecom Italia (TIM) to offer existing customers on a voice only fixed line contract free access to ADSL. The proposal is in response to the 'Cura Italia' decree to boost the country's infrastructure following the coronavirus crisis and could affect up to 500,000 customers subscribed to TIM's voice-only contracts at the regulated price of EUR 18.87 a month who have yet to activate an ADSL service.
