Telecom Italia to hold extraordinary meeting on Brazil

Telecom Italia's board has convened an extraordinary meeting on 05 February, two weeks before the next scheduled board meeting to approve the company's preliminary financial results on 19 February. According to a report in Il Sole 24 Ore, the extraordinary meeting has been called to discuss the company's options in Brazil after Telecom Italia's CEO Marco Patuano, chairman Giuseppe Recchi and CFO Piergiorgio Peluso travelled to the country to discuss a tie-up between Brazilian subsidiary TIM Brasil and Brazilian operator Oi.
