Telecom Italia to launch digital music service - report

Friday 28 January 2011 | 10:40 CET | News
Telecom Italia will launch in February a platform for music downloads and streaming, reports Il Sole 24 Ore. The service will come as part of the company's broadband TV platform CuboVision, and customers will be charged directly on their phone bill. According to the paper's sources, Telecom Italia is still finalising agreements with music labels in order to complete the offer. Unlimited streaming is expected to cost around EUR 1.5 per month, while ten downloads plus full streaming will sell for EUR 5. Fastweb already offers a similar service since November, in cooperation with Dada.
