Telecom Italia workers reject customer care deal

Telecom Italia's workers have rejected a draft agreement between the company and trade unions to restructure the Caring Services division, which handles customer care activities. The document signed with the trade unions Slc Cgil, Fistel Cisl, Uilcom Uil and Ugl Telecomunicazioni followed more than seven months of negotiations covering all the issues of the customer services sector, which has been badly hit by the ongoing Italian recession. Under the terms of the deal, Telecom Italia agreed to shelve the project to spin off the Caring Division included in the agreement signed with trade
