Telecom trade associations take California State to court over net neutrality law

Thursday 4 October 2018 | 10:14 CET | News
USTelecom, CTIA, NCTA and ACA are taking the state of California to court for its recently passed net neutrality legislation. The trade associations filed a joint suit in a federal court challenging California's recently passed internet bill saying it threatens to negatively affect services for millions of consumers and harms new investment and economic growth. The associations believe federal law should pre-empt state law for cases like this one, echoing arguments from the US Department of Justice, which has also taken legal action against California.
