Telefonica-accelerated startup NFWare gets USD 2 mln funding

Telefonica has announced that networking software startup NFWare has raised USD 2 million in new venture funding, led by the Sistema Venture Capital fund, with participation from existing investors including Maxfield Capital, Almaz Capital and Telefonica's own Wayra platform. NFWare's software-based networking technology significantly increases network speed for high-load traffic processing. It runs on standard x86 servers and handles the traffic at the speed of the most expensive network hardware from leading vendors, said Telefonica. In 2016, NFWare won the Challenge Up! contest organized
