Telefonica accelerator to help boost UK cyber response

Telefonica has announced a partnership with UK intelligence agency GCHQ and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport to help UK startups develop new cyber security systems via Wayra UK, part of Telefonica Open Future. Under the terms of the agreement, Wayra will run a new cyber accelerator facility based in Cheltenham, with startups given access to GCHQ's personnel and technological expertise to allow them to expand capability, improve ideas and devise products to outpace current and emerging threats. The deal is part of the UK government's GBP 1.9 billion National Cyber Security
