Telefonica and Chillida using IoT to monitor food storage

Telefonica has joined forces with Valencia-based security services company Chillida to create a smart system that monitors the cold chain for food that cannot safely be stored at ambient temperatures. The tool is above all designed to enable large supermarkets to record and collect information on food products stored in refrigerators in real time using Internet of Things technology. Sensors connected to the platform interpret the conditions (temperature and humidity) in which the products are stored, as well as any possible equipment malfunction so that customers can efficiently manage the
