Telefonica and RTVE conduct first remote broadcast using edge computing

Telefonica teamed up with Spanish state broadcaster RTVE to carry out an edge computing trial that replaces live TV trucks with a simple connection. The technology enabled the partners to stream Radio 3's "La Radio es Sueno" (Radio is a Dream) fictional soundtrack show from Madrid's Matadero cultural centre in real time with a low latency of between 3-5 milliseconds.
