Telefonica Argentina wants 100% of its broadband base on FTTH in 3 years

Telefonica Argentina (Movistar) has well over half a million customers accessing the internet via fibre to the home (FTTH) networks and is looking to migrate the remaining two-thirds of its fixed broadband subscribers to the technology within 3 years, reports Telesemana, citing the company's Director of Commercial Services and Operations, Alexis Krossler. At the end of June, the operator reported that fixed broadband accesses had declined 9.9 percent year on year to 1.5 million but that FTTx accesses surged by 50.6 percent to 531,900 thanks to an increase in coverage to 2.4 million, including
