Telefonica boosts security portfolio with series of deals

Telefonica has announced a number of agreements aimed at delivering new generation cybersecurity products at its third Security Innovation Day, held at its Madrid quarters. The operator has signed strategic alliances with key players in the security sector including Alien Vault, BlueCoat, Intel Security, Palo Alto Networks, RSA and Vaultive with a view to expanding the portfolio of its digital security subsidiary Eleven Paths. Telefonica said the deal with Palo Alto Networks allowed it to develop a service that can discover mobile malware through integration with Palo Alto's own security
