Telefonica Brasil sees 16% drop in net profit to BRL 886 mln

Telefonica Brasil reported a 16.1 percent drop in third quarter 2015 net profit to BRL 886.2 million, hurt  by weak sales growth and rising costs of servicing its debt. EBITDA rose 3.6 percent year-on-year to BRL 3.179 billion, with the EBITDA margin unchanged at 30.0 percent. EBIT was BRL 1.33 billion, compared to BRL 1.30 billion a year earlier. Net revenue grew 5.2 percent to BRL 10.58 billion. Mobile revenue rose 4.5 percent to BRL 6.28 billion, while fixed revenue increased 3.9 percent to BRL 4.29 billion.
