Telefonica buys rest of Brazil health specialist AxisMed

The Telefonica Group has acquired 100 percent of AxisMed, the largest population health management company in Brazil. The deal will allow the group to further accelerate the development of a complete proposal of services in the Brazilian market for health care providers, corporations and the pharmaceutical industry. The deal represents the continuation of an operation initiated in December 2012, when Telefonica Group purchased 50 percent of AxisMed.
