Telefonica calls for Brazil network tax breaks to continue

The president of Telefonica Vivo, Antonio Carlos Valente, said that the Brazilian telecommunications industry wants the tax breaks for building networks given by the government in recent years to continue, reports news agency Estadao. Speaking after a meeting with the Minister of Communications, Valente said that the exemptions, which have been in force for the past two years, were beneficial for the sector and increased the volume of investment. Although he admitted that the current macroeconomic climate may lead the new Minister of Finance to review the tax rate, the executive said there
